Thanks Ursula, it was an experience! I am pretty disappointed that some nasty women posted some things on the Top Shot Facebook page and I feel very sorry that I didn't perform better for 'the cause'. There are a lot of dynamics going on behind the scenes and a lot of unseen pressure. You know the added pressure of being in law enforcement. I recognized immediately the implications hitting a friendly target could have, especially since I have been involved in an officer-involved shooting. That forced me to slow down and all of my 'misses' during the elimination were about 1-2" low - still deadly shots. Maybe going onto the show was a mistake? I certainly have never wanted to be someone that increases the scrutiny of women in shooting or law enforcement. For that end, I failed. My only real heartache is that my 15 year old daughter was reading the posts with me on the fan page and her innocence was shattered by the nasty comments about women in general. She got a glimpse into the real world. Sigh. Thanks for the message it means a lot.
