HELLO EVERYONE,

 

I AM CURRENTLY APPLYING FOR A SWAT TEAM IN OHIO. I HAVE COMPLETED THE INITIAL PHYSICAL AND INTERVIEW PROCESS.  I AM LOOKING TO FIND ANY INFORMATION ON SWAT PHYSICAL AGILITY STANDARDS FROM OTHER DEPARTMENTS IN THE UNITED STATES.  THE INITIAL PHYSICAL HAD MODIFICATION FOR WOMEN ON SOME OF THE TESTS ( IE: PULL UPS, PUSH UPS, BENCH PRESS, AND LEG PRESS.) IT WAS IMPLIED THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE MODIFICATIONS FOR THE YEARLY QUALIFICATION AND THAT THE REQUIREMENTS WOULD HAVE TO BE MADE TO SUIT BOTH MEN AND WOMEN.  SO HERE I AM LOOKING TO FIND COMPARISONS.   ANY INFORMATION OR LINKS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Here is the physical agility course for one of the teams I train with.  It's done with full gear on and must be completed in three minutes or less:

  1. Scale 6' wall
  2. One Pull up (Dead hang-palms forward)
  3. 3 dips
  4. 100 yard run (All components after this is done with gas mask on)
  5. 15 yard low crawl
  6. 60 yard run carrying 40# ram
  7. 20 yard, 200 lb dummy drag

Hey Shauna,

So this PT test is for DOE agents specifically the OST recovery team, also listed is the US Marshals PT requirements. I could send your Army standard but they aren't that special.

DOE/OST  

8:30 minute mile and 8.00 second 40 yard sprint. Moving into the following.
All exercises are to be performed within one minute.                                                           Each number given is the MINIMUM recommended amount prior to arriving at ACT.
• 35 Push-ups
• 35 Sit-ups
• 5 Pull-ups (dead hang – no kipping)
