VERY proud of our initial newsletter. For some reason, pregnant cops continues to be a perplexing issue for some police agencies:
Although he is most famous for shaking his bum on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars; J. R. Martinez is much more than a dancer. He spoke at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas on Feb. 21.; I was honored to hear his story firsthand. As the entire audience hung on his every word, J.R. laughed and joked about the deepest darkest times in his life and how helping others helped to save…Continue
For those of us that have Iphones I was just recently advised of an app called Field Contact. It cost 4.99 but it is well worth the cost. With this app you can enter contact information plus photo and stop location right on your phone and it is password protected. Ive had it for a couple weeks and so far found it useful. Hope this helps

In any case, the whole endurance thing was going through my head, I thought, this is great, but only somewhat realistic of what might happen. As a result, I started to change it up some. I would speed up, then stop…Continue
I admit it; I had a prejudice - a prejudice against running shoes. I only wore Nike. I had previously tried all other brands: Adidas, New Balance, Saucony - you name it, I had owned it at one point. For the longest time, Nike was the most comfortable and best choice for my super sweaty “grandma” feet (no offense against grandmas – I love grandmas).
QUESTION: How many WTA members on here carry any medical equipment on their duty belt or body armor, such as an IFAK (individual first aid kit), or even just a tourniquet when out in the field?
Hello WTA members,
As a board certified physician in Emergency Medicine with a growing interest in Tactical Medicine, I would like to get an idea of how many of you can initiate self care in the field if needed?
I recently completed a two week course in tactical medicine given by…
