Info for Testers

The Women’s Tactical Association (WTA) is looking for members willing to test and evaluate products for our new member testing program.  This program is reserved for paid members only.  WTA membership is only $40, and you’ll easily come out on top as most testers will get to keep the product they’re evaluating. This is one more benefit of joining the WTA! As a reminder WTA members receive:

  • Free and/or discounted training
  • Vendor discounts
  • Tac Ops Newsletter
  • Network of tactically minded individuals
  • AND UNTIL 15 FEB 11 5.11 knife, hat and 5.11 40%off coupon

If you are interested in becoming a tester, first become a paid member and then e-mail Kim Heath at got.1911s@gmail.com for application information.  In your application e-mail you will provide information about your current work assignments, current work equipment, hobbies, and time spent training, etc., to ensure that the products and the testers are a good match.

Most evaluations will last 90 days, unless a different time frame is appropriate for the product.  Upon completion of the evaluation, you will be required to complete a rating form in 10 categories and comment appropriately.  You will also be required to write a narrative outlining the usage the product was subjected to, how much usage the product received, and how it performed in said usage.  Don’t try to make the product fail, but feel free to use it enthusiastically for its intended purpose.

Please continue to use the product after the evaluation period has expired as you may be asked to complete a product update in the long term to see how well the product is still performing.

If you receive a product and don’t feel you can sufficiently evaluate it as it is simply something you don’t have the opportunity to use regularly, please notify me and we will make alternative arrangements.  If life or work circumstances prevent you from performing the evaluation, i.e., injury, unforeseen time constraints, etc., notify me ASAP and alternative arrangements will be made without effecting your status as a tester.

I hope you enjoy being a part of this program and realize what an important part you play in the future of product design.

Thank you,

Kim Heath

I also experience the no fog effect of the eyewear.  It is so important to be able to see.  Also during my test run I noticed that the eyewear repels sawdust that was a bonus.

I completed the survey on the revision wear, I was very pleased with the eyewear, usually when I use these type of eyewear they tend to fog while wearing them for an extended period of time. On Feb. 19 I attended a training class at the range which lasted eight hours,I am pleased to say not once did these eyewear fog up.Two tumbs up.
